Church based Bible College
International Apostolic Bible College is a church based bible college. All ministry flows out of the life of the local church, including mission, training and discipleship. All dimensions are necessary. We desire to be more prescriptive in helping students develop a philosophy of ministry that is actually working within the context of the local church in Kolding, a church that is growing. The students have the opportunity to implement in practice what they have learnt in theory. Every week students are involved in different areas of church ministry and will also participate in the Sunday services. A good number of guest speakers from Denmark and abroad are lecturing. There will be practitioners, who have had ministry success. The permanent staff are also teaching and helping the students in their development.
Character building is another area of development for the students. We desire to see students develop a character, which is more and more like the character of Jesus. We believe it can be shaped through God’s presence, teaching, practical work, ministry, and mentoring.
It is our ambition that every student who joins us will develop a greater love for The Word, for the local church and for the world.
As a “church-based Bible College”, we believe that our knowledge of the Scriptures must be integrated within our lives and ministry to be truly efficient and relevant for the society we are a part of. We explore books of the Bible in their original contexts and draw out principles and precepts that are relevant for today. We will equip you with tools to dig and draw from the Bible the message God wants to put across. Furthermore, through the understanding and training of communication skills, you will learn to deliver those everlasting truths. We look at leadership from various perspectives and models, establishing priorities and key aspects of teamwork and church life. The teachers are living what they teach on the field of daily praxis. You will be encouraged, challenged and equipped through the teaching.
The bible college is international and therefore the teaching is not only in Danish but also in English. The international aspect adds value to the fellowship and in the teaching. Students come from many different places all over the world, just as the teachers have international backgrounds.
Different types of courses
You can follow a full course, which runs over an academic year. In that way you get the most out of your stay. You can chose autumn semester (August – December) or spring semester (January – Easter and Easter – July).
During the year we have weekend courses and theme weeks at the school. It is courses with specific subjects/themes. Some of the courses are part of the teaching in the bible college and is therefore attended by all students. Other courses are running parallel to the bible school teaching.
